Some shipping options will stay the same after Brexit, while others will increase. The possibility of free shipping will still be available.
This article explains the changes to shipping costs as well as an update on duty and VAT for European customers
As everyone across Europe is aware, Brexit will occur from January 1st 2021 as the UK formally leaves the European Union.
As the warehouse for our International store is located in the UK, we thought it best to make you aware of the changes that we are aware of so far, so that you have as much time as possible to consider the information and make any necessary changes before the new shipping rates come into place.
The headline news is that from January 1st 2021, the cost of the DHL 3-6 Days tracked delivery option to Europe will not change.
Both before and after Brexit, customers will always pay £6.99 for their package to be delivered anywhere in Europe within 3-6 days.
However the next day delivery option will change. Currently the price for this offering varies depending on where in Europe you are sending your parcel.
From January 1st 2021, the cost of next day delivery to Europe will increase by £2.25 per delivery.
In truth, this is the best deal that U-Mask could offer customers while still ensuring that you are able to send your U-Masks, safe in the knowledge that they would arrive at their destination in Europe the next day.
The actual increase in cost is £4.50 per delivery but we wanted to absorb 50% of the cost to the customer to ensure that you are still able to send U-Mask to Europe at an affordable price, allowing you to protect yourself, your family and your friends as quickly as possible.
This process won’t be forever - we are working around the clock to create a warehouse in Germany to deal with all European orders, which should ensure the shipping costs return to their previous levels. As you can appreciate, many other companies are also looking into these possibilities so there is a great deal of patience required until the paperwork is complete.
Despite the rise in costs, we still wanted to be able to offer free shipping. From January 1st 2021, you will still be able to claim free shipping on your order when you spend over €150 for EU and €190 for the USA and Canada.
